- Refund Policy: No refunds will be provided for headstart tennis programs except in cases of on court injuries or other valid reasons approved by the club on a case-by-case basis.
- Payment Policy: All programs must be paid in full before the start of the first lesson. However, in cases of late joiners, prorated registration will be allowed.
- Rain/weather Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation due to weather, headstart tennis programs may be cancelled. In such cases, make-up lessons will be scheduled and credited within the headstart account.
- Rain/Weather Cancellation Policy (Updated June 2026): In the event of cancellation due to weather or unsafe outdoor court conditions, Headstart Tennis programs may be cancelled. Weather-related cancellations will be tracked by the club and compensated through a Headstart account credit. Credits will be applied periodically throughout the season and may be used toward future programs, lessons, camps, memberships, court bookings, or approved make-up opportunities. Due to scheduling and court availability constraints, designated make-up days are not guaranteed. Headstart Tennis will make reasonable efforts to maximize court usage, including drying courts and delaying start times where appropriate, and will communicate cancellations as early as possible.
- Bullying Policy: Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated amongst players in the headstart tennis programs. Strict action will be taken against any players found engaging in such behavior.
- Makeup Lesson Policy:
- Missed sessions may not guarantee a makeup lesson for the player.
- Headstart Tennis will make an effort to schedule make-up lessons for classes missed due to medical reasons.
- Players are encouraged to review all available groups online; any group with open spots may be used for a makeup.
- Due to the volume of makeup requests, individual requests cannot be tracked. Players are asked to drop in on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- If multiple players attempt to join the same group for a make up and it becomes full, you may be asked to sit out or leave that lesson, and your makeup request may be declined.
- Non-Transferable Policy: Programs are non-transferable. Players may not transfer their spot to another individual under any circumstances.
- Drop-In Policy: Players are welcome to attend one-off lessons for a drop-in fee. Availability for drop-in sessions is subject to space and cannot be guaranteed in every session. (Drop in rates: Regular group lessons $30/hr, 4 person max group lessons $40/hr.
- Our coaches will assess players and, if needed, recommend the most appropriate programs to ensure players are in the right group and adequately challenged for optimal learning, based on the player’s skills and program availability
- Holidays and hours of operation: All Headstart programs are scheduled to run even on public holidays, unless notified of any cancellations due to holiday.
- Headstart Tennis is a scent-free environment. Please avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, or strongly scented products while attending programs or entering the facility. Players may be asked to leave and return scent-free.
Policy Updates: Headstart Tennis reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these policies at any time. Any material changes will be communicated through the club's registration system, website, email communications, or other official club channels. Continued participation in Headstart programs constitutes acceptance of the most current version of these policies.
